Default Is bigger box better for subwoofers?

OK, this is the question, every now and again ill see on YouTube "if the box is big give your subs tiny power" so my question to you is, what are the pro's and con's to having a bigger box. this might be a bad example but it would clarify for me better than any other comparison. i have 4 Rockford Fosgate P1 8"s and i know about 3 cubes is good for them. there 150RMS each. what are the pros and cons if i gave them lets say 5 cubes and then again at 2 cubes? i just want to know is bigger box better and explain your reasoning. is smaller box better, explain your reasoning. ThanX everyone

Big box:
Pros
- More efficient
Cons
- Lower power handling
- More impedance rise

Small box:
Pros
- Higher power handling
- Less impedance rise
Cons
- Lower efficiency

In short, for daily, I would prefer a larger enclosure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I researched impedance rise and its not bad at all, there is no effect on impedance rise except the amount of amperage you can have on your sub(s)

For a daily system, you don't need to worry about impedance rise. That is more for competition systems where every last .1db is needed.

It's actually the opposite. Smaller boxes are peaky. Larger boxes have smoother curves.

bigger boxes tend to hit lows better too compared to a smaller box on the same power and stuff
