Default What is the tool needed?

I had a local lumber yard cut my 1" MDF for me and overall they did a good job but of coarse it's not perfect. What's the best way to take a little off a corner so that it will be flush? Is it called a plainer?? Maybe just a wood file. It's 1/16 or so off. Thanks

if u are trying to decrease the thickness of the material completely, then a Planer is what you need.

Belt sander can be used if it's just on the very end of the material you are trying to flush mount.

i've got one here.. but no longer use MDF to try it out, lol...

If you have a few days, i got some spare mdf pieces lying around i can send thru it and see...

but may be pointless.. Planers aren't cheap for an infrequent task like this.

Thanks for all the quick replys. I have the box partially together. Bottom back and both sides and they all fit nicely but the sides are a little long so I need to take it down ESP in the corner. I'm sure I will run into similar problems when I attach the top.
