Default bandpass question

so, Ive got the room to make my current box a 4th order.. currently its 6.5 cubes ported @41hz with 8 SA10s, for a sealed section was thinking 3-4cubes
how would that do?

i can always pull 2 of the subs out so i have 6 10s so i have a little more airspace in the ported side ( 1 cube per vs .8 per )

suggestions?

I think, if you want to do it correctly, dont listen to what anyone here will tell you.
You would need to rebuild the box to build it correctly. If you want, I can do a design but it wont be free.

Id just doing it for something to do, ive got an old box i need to cut up and will work perfectly, just need to decide how big i want the sealed side to be.

i can get upto 7.5 cubes ported, and 5 sealed, im thinking 3 cubes sealed and 6.5 ported, tuned to 41hz i want it to destroyy the lows!

Ive a strong hint youre still doing it wrong, but at least your sealed portion is more under control.
Hopefully, you dont waste all that wood.

I did an experimental enclosure for a friend with a 1:1 ratio and tuned to 43 for 2 SA-12's and it PEAKED at 23.... Too low imo. 1 cube sealed, 1 ported....For your application, you could do .7-.8 cubes sealed/ported.

its all "scrap" wood ill be cutting off an old box i have here

im shooting for a 2:1 ratio...from some reading thats what seems to work, although i dont have all that much power per sub.. ( after rise maybe.. 400rms per if that)
