Default Do you put SCREWS in ur enclosures ???

i have seen it all oer about using screws just splits the wood and there is no need for silicone inside the enclosure .. wat do you think ? also heard of using fiberglass resin to strengthen and prevent leaks in the enclosure .. but also see people like PWK use SCREW-LESS enclosures ? if not using scres then how durable is the box and wat kind of glue do you use and how long does it take to dry ... so i guess im asking
screws / no screws
silicone / no silicone
fiberglass resin or not
and most important WHY ? or why not
thanks for all the advise in advance...

In my experience, when mdf is properly glued w/ wood glue, the mdf will break far before the bond will. You can resin the inside of your box, but in most cases it is uneccessary. If all your joints are tightly sealed, and properly glued, no need for silicone. I'm running 2 sundown 2500s strapped at 1 ohm into 2 12s and I dont have a single screw or nail in the box.
