Well as you can tell I am new here. I was in to car audio ~13 yrs ago and am just getting back in to it but I am struggling with a ported box tuning issue. I really have minimal ported experience as in the "old days" we all ran sealed b/c most ported that I had heard at that time were tuned super high and I wanted smoother low end.
I am trying to read a BBP response graph and the box is already built and I am VERY happy with the low end but the upper bass is almost zero.
I believe this problem can be solved by adding more/better components up front or a small sub under passenger side dash? Am I right?
the other question is could I have seen this on the response graph? I seemed to hit my predicted low end but the upper has zero impact? When I look at the graph the upper bass looks flat but what I hear doesn't seem to correspond with what I see

2 Clarion SW1051 in 2.5 cubes w/ 4" port 8" long
Well I played around with port length and found a shorter port raised my tuning but gave me the upper bass which was totally lacking. I guess my question really is can you predict this from reading graphs? I gave up some extreme low end for now until I have more $ to upgrade the rest of the system. I guess I expected too much from my cheapo Clarions....
Was this due to designing box below free air resonance of the speaker?
