Default Blazer box help!!!!

Ok so I am trying to get a single 21'' IA death row...Custom..... my question is I have a few options for the box. Easiest would be sub and ports up utilizing the entire cargo area, Or i can build the box tall and leave about 4-5'' from the tail gate and do sub up port back, but the box would end up being about 6'' above the rear seat. or I can just wall it, sub on drivers side, ports on passengers.... I havent built a blazer in many years and the last one had two power hx2 10s not a 21'' lol

S-10 Blazer? What works best in those trucks are subs up port back.

Ya i am used to the 2nd gen s10 blazers, not the first. Has anyone done sub and port up with good results? or walled with not a huge ammount of cone area?

The only direct comparison I did in my '93 was sub/port up vs sub/port back. Everything facing back was noticeably louder to the ear. That was a long time ago so no TL #s.

Ya If I did both sub and port back it would only be about 4''s from the tail gate.

Mine was just 2 12"s. Plenty of room for them to breathe. I wouldn't do a 21" facing back. Also wouldn't do a slot along bottom facing back. If you face the port back do a vertical slot on the driver's side of the box.

I intend on using two 8'' flared sonotubes.I am really leaning towards walling it now, that just seems like the easiest now.

I never tried side porting in either of my Blazers but it works really well in my Explorer and has done well in Jake's Jeep. That's a different option that allows you to utilize most of the cargo area.
