Default Jeep Project

Ok....so i searched high and low for a mail jeep....
i figured...small...i can work on it in garage...or in back yard....
It has excellent cargo room....
Should be cheap WRONG...........people want like 2 and 3 grand and up for these things man...RAGGED...
This old lady emailed me...saw my effort on craigslist....
said she lived 8 hours away but would sell it to me for $700
Her husband called and said he had title and would rather have it for one more week to do some work to it...since i was coming to buy it sight unseen he wanted it to be at least better than it was....told me all he knew was wrong etc.....good old man.... 60+ years old...so we agreed....I'd be there (now) last Saturday.
He called me back all bummed out...."i took it to the transmission shop and they said it needed trans work done....i spect you want it now"....
i said "sir....i got literally $1000's of dollars headed this way for this jeep.... from companies that just want me to use their stuff in this jeep...................i need this jeep.....You don't feel comfortable with the price you gave me knowing i need to spend more on the jeep am I correct?"
He said....."right"
I said " would you sell it to me for a little less and maybe that would make you feel better about it?"
he said ....."well...ya...i guess"
I said...."what would make YOU comfortable"
he said ...."would you gimme $500?"
I said ..."SOLD-DONE I'll see you Saturday as planned with $500 cash"
So.....cost me almost $200+ in travel and $500 for the jeep i'm right back at $700....thats a square deal and it runs its NUTS OFF....it will HAUL ***....
Does have tranny leakage....needs new exhaust....and could use a carb overhaul and a new valve cover gasket....
Other than that...........its all ground up stuff.....no real issues....
I'll do what I do to it as far as voltage and wire upgrades YOU KNOW HOW WE DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............. and get this ***** walled......after i find some more leaf springs lol....
Still need HU-----i dunno what to do yet..
Batts---------i dunno what to do yet..
I got a couple small amps but they might not do the trick...
www.forceaudio.com 's "95honda" donated some 4/0 and some lugs for it...HARD CORE FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - thank you very much bro! He's always been one of my absolute best friends and he came through on this one just in time.
Secondskinaudio.com donated a load of stuff....i've always had a good relationship with them....put them in magazines and stuff when i wrote for one here....made sure i kept up my marketing when i was sponsored and I will again...
www.fixmyspeaker.com is donating a pair of full range 10's LOL go use up front...i dunno how the hell thats gonna happen but it will by gosh....
Lots of mechanical work will be done by "At your service heating and air" here in town...my cousin owns it and is a master mechanic and a mechanical engineer....and oddly........just about to finish the police academy.....talk about a dude that figure out what he wants to be when he grows up huh?...
And there is a body shop that will be donating time and equipment ....but i forgot their name and until it happens and we are in the bay with it on a lift....i ain't giving them credit yet LOL...

14.1 solid volts too....on the main power post..... but after it gets to battery...its 13.1 solid volts LOL...

uhg....omg.....:cwm20:

I ripped it right out and tossed it in his yard.....
those of you that know me....know this happened.......

I used to have on of these around 1992 or 3. Didn't have a system in it but the right hand drive was fun. It only had the 1 seat so I had pillows on the floor for passengers. The skinny tires were excellent in the snow but the heater left much to be desired.
