Default Not A Quote Earthquake Magma Options

I have some 12" Magmas sitting here, and was wondering can these be upgraded with their current factory motors or is it just better to go with stock recones if they are even available.

probably not because they have a wierd coil size. unless dave can make custom coils you may be out of luck and have to get stock recones. but i'll let dave chime in on this one.

We need to get some additional information from you before we can quote a price, or determine the parts needed for the repair of your subwoofer. We either have not repaired this model yet, or do not have measurements from it on file.

What we need from you are photos and measurements from the motor and frame of the subwoofer. Please refer to the .pdf located at http://www.fixmyspeaker.com/pdf/MeasurementListB.pdf for reference.

How to take these measurements: You will need a caliper or other tool that will take very precise measurements. We need measurements that are accurate to within 0.25mm or .010”. Measurements made by a tape measure are not accurate enough to use for our services.
The subwoofer would have to be dismantled (AKA: Cut apart, not working anymore) to take these measurements.
Why we need these measurements: We need to be able to correctly size and space the parts for your rebuild. Speakers are built with very tight tolerances, and need to have ample clearance for the inner parts during excursion.

If you are unable to take these measurements yourself, we would need for your subwoofer to be shipped in to us to measure in at our facility. We cannot provide the best parts for your application without knowing what will fit and work the best!

We need photos of the subwoofer from the side, and from the top if possible.

If you have any questions, please ask!
Thanks,
FixMySpeaker

i have a manual on my pc, i will have to look, that would be a deal killer. I doubt earthquake would have recones, they cant even get me the rubber frame gaskets, i guess the magmax use a different size frame and the gaskets arent interchangeable.

I was just wondering if there are recones for this sub, I have two 12" magmas. Both of the subs surrounds are ruined, I had tore one of them apart just to check the coil. Coil is still in good shape and still intact, If you need dimensions or pics let me know. Thanks
