Default Memphis m3 15" questions

Hello fellow users/fix my speaker.

I sent en email but feel I would get some better feedback here since email support seemed a bit lacking.

I would like to know all my options on a recone kit (whether I pay to have it done or do it myself)

I would like to know any dust cap options and anything else I have a choice in, or simply if there is only one option.

It's not the mojo, it's got a small motor but I was told it can be upgraded to 750w rms. I would like to have it dual 4 ohm coils instead of the stock 2 ohm since my amp does 800w rms at 2 ohms and twice that at 1 ohm.

I would also like feedback on whether it would be worth reconing or if I should spend the money on something new/better.

I don't really see anything decent on CL for the price and I had this in a 4.0 ported box and it seemed to slam better than anything I've had for only being 400-450w rms (It took 1000w rms pretty well considering. although I did let it dip below 14 volts a lot, which is what killed it)

Here are some pictures.

Just so you know. It's literally David and possibly a few others doing everything...... He responds to e-mails as fast as he can. He is also going to ask you to fill out the form just like everyone else.

Graham,
I am sorry if you feel that our email responses were lacking, but I can see where we have responded to and answered every question that you have asked thus far. We have sent you pricing for rebuilding it here, sending you the parts, and info about the maximum RMS rating available. Maybe having them all answered at once will help.

To be sure to answer your questions, I am going to include them here and add an answer after each one.

We do not charge an additional fee to our customers to assemble their subwoofers if a full rebuild kit is purchased from us. We would supply the needed adhesives and assembly at no cost. You would be responsible for the additional shipping costs associated with packaging, sending, and returning the subwoofer.

If you plan to rebuild the subwoofer yourself, you will need to either purchase from us or supply your own adhesives, solder, shim, and any other supplies needed for the rebuild.

We prefer to have this series sent to us, even though it costs extra.

We have sent you the price both ways, and do not post prices in our forum! Please see your last email responses from us for the prices.

For the price we quoted you, you can get a 6" paper or plastic dome shape, or 6" plastic dish shape.

For $10 more, we can use a 6" carbon fiber dish or dome shaped cap.

750 watts is the absolute maximum rms power that could be used with our best available voice coil for this subwoofer.

We sell a really nice 750w rms 15" brand new for $215, or 1000w rms rated 15" for $240.

Sorry and thanks!

Thank you for the reply.

I never recieved the info about the dust cap options.

I would also like to know if there is a choice in whats written on them? Ive seen a lot of videos where the dust cap says "**** it".

And I am still unclear as to whether it can be rebuilt with dual 4 ohm coils or if it would have to remain dual 2.

The **** it! logo can be included free of charge.

We should have a coil in D2 or D4 for this model.
