Default Flat black paint job questions...

So i really want to paint my car flat black but not sure about the clear that is used, or if i would even need a clear coat. Basically asking where can i find the clear if it is needed and/or if anyone has painted a car using flat paint. I would love to see how they turned out.
thanx

Depends. Some companies make a "hot rod black" that uses a special clear. Its ment to offer the UV protection while looking like the old rat rods that were single staged.

Example of an East wood product. Its a single stage with UV protection to my understanding:
Rat Rod Flat Black Paint Kit - Hot Rod Black Paint - Rat Rod Spray Paint
