Default How to tune my AFC?

Does anyone know the general way of how to tune the Apexi S-AFC2?
I got my eclipse last night and it has one of those and I believe the car is running rich.. It smells of gas in the oil as well as the oil looks thin and it runs a little rough like it's rich, also has a pretty decent sized black exhaust trail on the bumper indicating it's rich.
Just wondering If anyone has any experience with this?
I printed off the manual, but it doesn't seem to answer my questions real we'll
Called Apexi and left a message waiting for a call back but I'd LIKE to tune it tonight

I know what it is, I guess what I mean is do you have a wideband o2 so you can view your a/f ratio real time

Oh ok gotcha
To be honest I don't know, the guy that had it before me knew nothing about it because he knows nothing about cars
The kid before him had it all done professionally
It looks like a new 02 sensor tho
Any way I can tell?

if it was done professionally it probably has a wideband and it should monitor it while you are driving. If you don't know much about it, it will be hard to tell you. My best advice is to get on a DSM forum and research or ask.

The pillar gauge doesn't but the SAFC2 reads RPM, knock, and throttle

Do you know exactly which A/F gauge you have in the pillar? It's possible that it's narrow band and won't tell you accurately what your A/F mixture is. If it's the analog kind that goes "lean/stoich/rich" or something like that, it's probably NOT a wideband.

Wideband gauges will usually be digital or analog with numbers. You need a wideband sensor/gauge to properly tune the car.
