Skar has the right idea and right around the same idea I'm thinking
Only difference is if the fuel pump failed, it probably wouldn't restart and then die every Time you turn it over
The problem I had with my jeep was that I changed the PCM, and it set the vehicle into security mode, the Jeeps factory security thought that it was being stolen and would cut the fuel supply off after a few seconds of running
What I did to fix it was have my installer at work look at it, and we grounded the factory security wire out in the drivers door panel
And voila, 2 weeks of problems saved by 10 minutes of finding the correct wire to ground
Just an idea.
