Default Painting my car

I am going to re-paint my car by myself. I'm thinking about a nice, flat black color.

Has anyone done this before and have any tips/advice.

Do not reply and say it's a bad idea, too much work, will not work, too hard, etc... I'm going to do it regardless what you say. I'm just asking for some tips or advice.

I have saw that and talked to a few people about it but I don't think it'd work too well. The first time with the pressure washer would probably take it off, or such.

I have not painted a car before, other things but not a car.

I live in mid-western Illinois. About 20 minutes from iowa - in between quincy and the quad cities.

I've heard flat paint is harder to lay down than regular automotive paint.

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

Well I know a guy that has painted his truck flat black and he said that it was pretty easy and the flat black covers up lots of the mistakes. I don't personally know anyone that has painted regular paint on their car though.

I'm going to be buying a sprayer and set up my own paint room with plastic since my shop is pretty dusty and shit.
