2v gt's are ridiculously slow, back when I had my 01 camaro ss I ran a buddy in his 00 gt, both of us with bolt ons I was a full second quicker and 8-10mph faster in the 1/4. They sound good though, his has a mac prochamber mid pipe and a mac catback.

its for my buddy who is over seas right now so ill be picking it up, so its not really what i would of picked for the amount of money... I tried to steer him into an incredible condition 2002 ws6 but he just doesnt like the body style compared to this mustang...to each his own i guess

The gt came with a 4.6 so idk why he said it was a Pro built engine, unless he did something else to it aside from what he posted...he also didn't say the total mileage on the car, just under 100k and 40k for the engine...I'm sure u kno u gotta be careful when you leave the stock tranny in on a newer engine, especially in a mustang because the 2nd gear Shift solenoid will start to go and u can feel the slip...mine didn't do it until around 150k but I didn't put any added pressure on the tranny other than weight from system...my engine aged with the tranny...if I were you, I'd test drive it...check tranny records on it, like fluid changes and any work to it...also make sure the convertible top doesnt have any leaks, the older models were known for it but i forget when that was fixed, and if u like it and records are good, mileage on the car under about 90k, offer $8000....u can buy one from the dealer for $8800 and get a 90day warranty, but u won't get the upgrades he did either...those cars are great cars though...everything is easy to work on...keep fluids right and they'll last a while...that 4.6 is no joke...no quite a corvette but 1/4 the $$$ and damn near as fun

Idk whO mike dez is so I can't say that's good or badd ya know..just bc a "professional" did work doesn't make it good work...look at KOB...lol...buying it is all good work, I'd say that's a fair price for a reliable car...mine was still going strong after 150k...just change fluids regularly and maintain it like any other car...anything that could go wrong though are easy fixes...I tore my car apart just to learn about it and fix some things of course and nothing was hard with my Haynes manual, which is in the classifieds btw...lol

its going to be more of a project car for him when he gets back from afganiland...possibly supercharged 2 years or so down the line
