So my windshield is cracked at the top about a foot in length total. I do get some pretty good flex with a single 15 zv2 on 1600rms...I'm wondering if I get it filled will it be alright because I can get that done for about 60 bucks or get a new windshield for like 220.
anyone have experience with getting cracks filled? ( lol )
and how does it look normal as in if the crack was never there?
My sister in law went to get a crack filled and the guy ended up busting the whole windshield. Some where in their policies they have some clause where they are not responsible for further damaging your glass because there is a great chance of it busting while repairing it. Safelite was the company. So I suggest putting out the dough and getting a new windshield because you might end up with a window worse then what you started out with.
I think filling it just makes it stop from cracking but if the glass is weakened I dont think it will get its 100% strength back by filling it, I may be wrong but that would be my guess, and I would agree to just replace it
