Default Low voltage at idle!!

Alright guys I have a Pontiac G6 '06. Electrical consists of Tenny's Alt 250 amp alt, Red Top Optima up front, C&D 100AH in trunk, Big 3. Now I idle very low! 11.8-12v, however at about 1500-2000rpms I'm back up to 14.5-14.8 instantly. I've tried just about everything. I've gotten a tune up, just installed brand new battery cables. Iirc the low idle still existed before the alt change. Red Top is maybe 2-3 years old, I bought it brand new. Alt is still very new 6 months or so.

Are you throwing any codes? Low idle can be caused by lots of things.

Well I have a Cobra radar detector, that's made for the IPhone so it has an app that monitors all my cars "vitals". Voltage, speed, direction, ect. It says I idle at around 11.9v. I've also tested it from the front battery by hand via a Milwaukee Clamp meter. No voltage readers inside the car itself

Iirc, low idle can be caused by a vacuum line leak, worn out cap and rotor, idle sensor can be bad (if throttle body is electric), egr valve can be bad, dirty injectors, etc.

He meant what rpms are you idling at, not the voltage to which you are idling with.

That's with your music playing? Install your stock alt and see if your problem persist. If your idle is rough, clean your throttle body and IAC.

No idle isn't rough, rather smooth actually. Nothing is playing, nothing even hooked up.
