Default Project '92 S10 Blazer

Been working on several things on this thing the past few weeks. Might as well start some pics progress as I finish up. Has the 4.3 engine, plain jane model nothing fancy. Has pratically new Cooper Cobra tires, still lots of tread left. Just replaced the thermostat and gasket yesterday, again. It was leaking I noticed yesterday in front. Thought I had done something wrong. Turns out on top of the engine block itself there's a little dip. So redid my work in hopes it will work again. New, well used, battery tray in works. Bought one from the junkyard yesterday for 10 bucks. Old one is too rusted and cracked in one corner. Will post pics soon!

Here we go...

The 4th pic towards the right showing old rusty battery tray with a crack on the upper left and water outlet housing. Both replaced. New water housing as shown in pic number 3 towards right. Just scraped off the rust off the other battery tray hanging by a string (like my blazer is) and just painted. Looks way better, Guess these are notorious for rusting easy. Last pic shows my old Optima battery which I have 5 volts in it, dead, and the XS battery is its replacement.

Oh really?! Saw the blockshakers battery. Not too much history on them so went with XS instead...140 shipped with a budget of 150. I need a new rebuilt engine/motor. This one is tired, and has no "balls" when it comes to HP. Has about 350K+ miles on it, original engine. Bought it with around 120K on it, give or take. Bought it just before I met my wife....so it's been with me a looooonnnggg time! Can't afford a rebuild 4.3 or let alone a crate engine but oh how I wish I could. Someday I guess...

Looks like the leak didn't stop...dammit. Nothing I can do at this point I guess. I put on a little more RTV to see if that would help any. Like I mentioned before, there's a little dip on top of the block itself just below where the allen set screw is on the water outlet. But it's a very slow leak so at least I won't burn up the motor when I start driving it again.

1985? Not sure how that can work with my '92. I can't afford nothing right now, as much as I'd like to do a major engine swap/rebuild. So much I wanna do to it, just at the point of tired of sinking money into it. Thought about selling it as is.....just don't know right now.
