Default Pics of your fire extenguisher in your ride

I want/need one, and instead of asking about type, size, mounting locations, etc etc, I figured most of my questions could be answered if some of you guys posted a picture of your fire extinguisher in your ride.

make shure you get the kind that puts out "automotive" type fires as i remember something about their being diffrent ones for houses / viechles

something about putting out a fire from gas / oils is diffrent from home type extingushers
i had one mounted in my corvette back when i was terrafied of having a agm battery mounted basicly right behind my drivers seat in the little cubby back there.. it ( the fire extinguisher ) was easily in my reach from the drivers seat - with my seat belt on.
no use having one mounted where you cant get to it in time

Fire extinguishers are a sign of low faith in your own install ability.

Better question is...why not put this in the general auto section??

I've read it's better to get a halon type than the chemical powder ones. The powder ones will rust up everything afterwards. Especially engine bays.

What Are the 5 Types of Fire Extinguishers? | eHow

Should help.

Some are specifiically made for electrical fires. We got a few variety at work. Red is the usual color. The other is silver.

Funny you mention that, I had a conversation a while back with a guy that believed the same thing about fuses...

"Yeah man, if you run it right, use grommets, prep your grounds, then you don't need to worry about fuses... unless you don't trust your work"

A fire extinguisher for me would be like a fuse, it's nice to have. I don't want a situation coming up where I'd look back and wish I'd have something so simple to prevent a disaster. It's just cheap insurance.

Regardless, I fail to see how this post has any bearing what-so-ever on the question at hand.
