Default autobody/paint specialist guys

I'm looking through paint jobs for my bike and been looking a lot into marbleized stuff.
From my understanding you lay a black base coat, than the layer of the color you want to marbleize, than before it drys you lay saran wrap down into the wet paint and pull it back off. What I'm not sure is would you want to let the black fully cure before doing the color or would you follow the 20minute rule like you would for a second coat?

here are some examples for people who haven't seen it done.
I'll be doing silver sprayed under a candy teal or blue.

When I attended PPg paint training they had a car there that a student was doing that to his whole car. You do want the base cured b4 you lay out your color and saran wrap.

What gives that depth is the number of coats of a good clear. Your color combo will look nice for sure. Just be patient and it will come out nice.

For your plastics are you just scuffing, then prime and paint? Bc if you were starting with a bare plastic you would want to use a bumper or plastic cladding agent.

I'm just spraying over my old stuff. It's already black but I'll be starting all the way over from primer over the paint that is on there. I'm not in a hurry I want it to be done by next spring. this bike will probably get the motor pulled for a big bore kit anyway.

Just make sure you spray really wet and when you pull the saran wrap off just make sure you don't try to re touch up areas. Let the paint do it's thing

Try to use a base that can use a hardener, will make it way more stable and not bust up when hammering on the marble...

Those fairings have been painted at least twice. I know a few pieces were green and the one between the seats was red.

Black is not the stock color of that bike.
