Default Help truck won't start. :(

So my starter was going out. So we we put in a new starter and now it cracks over but won't fire. It's getting fuel because we checked that valve on passenger side that feeds it into the motor. We read to try that online and fuel sprayed out so it getting fuel. We tried to pull a spark plug and see if we are getting spark and we couldn't get spark but it's hard on my truck to hold it with all the wiring goiń to spark plugs....

Anyone have any idea what we did to fvck up my truck. Sucks

Sounds like the starter is turning over but the solenoid isn't engaging. Could be a wiring problem or another bad starter.

Last time I had something like that happen it ended up being a little wire harness that went to the air filter and I left it unplugged. So double check all of your harnesses if you hadn't already. ...

"Center speaker has been cut, possibly by manufacturer and appears to be professionally repaired with black tape. This appears very professional and might be by design. The tape used is not some cheap electrical tape, but a light fabric-like tape. I assume if you are bidding on this high-end speaker, that you are an audiophile and aware of the origins of the anomaly."

I know with a couple of previous starters I have replaced, there were grounds that would hook up to the starter bolts. Might be the same for you.

Does the solenoid engage the gear to the flywheel? Cuz it's turning over so the solenoid has to be engaging right?

I don't know about your vehicle, some have multiple terminals for various parts of the starter. If the starter is at fault, it's possible that the gear that engages the solenoid to push out against the flywheel could be bad. If you feel like getting dirty again you could pull the starter and hook it up outside the car to see if it spins and pushes the solenoid plunger out. Be VERY careful if you do this because it will jump around like a mofo. Sorry I can't be of more help, I've only worked on a handful of starters, lol. I do know that I've seen bad ones that were brand new out of the box.

Ya I hope it's something as easy as a bad starter right out the box but like I said that starter is working and the engine is turning over good just won't start. I tried postin on a Tahoe Yukon forum and no luck over there.
