Default Window Tint

I want to get some tint for my car. My buddys brother has a shop and he can put it on for me, otherwise ill try doing it myself. Anyways, i want to buy some tint and get it done before it gets too cold out and winter comes around.

I was wondering what i should look for in tint? I guess i need atleast 18" wide tint for the back window, the sides are like an inch shorter maybe. Im looking on ebay cuz i dont know of any good places to get it. What should i look at paying for a roll of tint to do the whole car (minus windshield)

I found this on ebay. Not sure if its any good or what i need, but seems like a good price. Is it any good?

Check out the ones that are pre cut for you car on ebay. I did that on my last car and other than the back window it was easy as hell to install and the fit was great.

Ive seen those before. Ill see how the prices compare. I was thinking of maybe getting a longer roll of it so i can do my other car too.

Did you have problems with the rear window or was it just a little harder to get all the bubbles out and install and that stuff?

I just dont want to go too dark and get shit from the cops all the time, or have to remove it right away. The tint law here is only 50% so thats pretty shitty. Think i can get away with like 35% ? Ha

Ok wow, well looking at the comparisons between the % on the ebay listing, im going for atleast 20%. There is no way in hell ill put 50% if its that light.

Here is the comparison im talking about, i also dont want to make it real hard to see out of at night either.

The back window was hard to ge all the air bubbles, other wise it was fine.

I did 35% and never had any issues but you never know.

Mine was pretty cheap, I think I paid like $25+ $15 for shipping.

Well my buddy got a fix it ticket for his tint, im not even sure what % it is, its somewhat dark but not like % or anything. He ended up never taking it off and hasnt heard anything else about it, and we live in a fairly small town where all the cops know just about everyone.

Thats not a bad price. I did find this one for cheap too. Only 30 bucks for all windows. Ill prolly buy this one.

Well i just got some 20%.. Im kinda paranoid about being pulled over for the damn tint already. I hope it doesnt look TOO dark that theyll just pull me over for it and have to remove the shit right away. But if the comparisons are at all close to accurate, it shouldnt be too bad. Hope tehy arent too strict about the tint here. Cuz legal is only 50%...

Does anyone think i should just go for the 35 instead? I dont really know how dark it will be. I dont want no 50% tho, i know that will be way too light. I already ordered 20% but im sure i could email them and change it if i emialed them right away... Hmm...
