Personally? Not a lot. A V6 Malibu will offer more room and better performance for about the same money.

stock it will but not after alittle bit of money in it I don't like malibu's (well atleast not the new ones) at least 5 of the people I know have them they do alright for reliability and that stuff but 4 doors, and an auto isn't something I am looking for in a car anymore when I had my 01 grandam we were gonna swap in a 3.8 gtp motor that would have been sweet

I'm not a huge fan of four doors but I'm done with standards. It'd be one thing if I had a truck and pulled heavy loads like a boat or camp trailer but for a daily driver? Nah, thanks. I had a couple of standards when I lived in the bay area and after doing the heel/toe shuffle a few dozen times I just decided that autos are way less trouble. If anything, a standard trans is a deterrent from buying a rig.

Buying a relatively new and fuel efficient car is a great idea.

Modifying a fuel efficient vehicle is not a great idea.

My 4x4 crew cab F150 gets 15 to 17 MPG. (I ignore fuel efficiency)

I could pretty much fully build the motor to the point it can't drive on the streets and get better mpg than my pickup 8-9 is what that gets
