Default Debadging emblems on car

Hey guys I've been researching online, youtube, diy, even called shops regarding debadging my elantras emblems. the shop I called told me $80 to debadging since they have special tools and process on doing so.

Has anyone done this correctly without messing up the paint or leaving any adhesive on their car?

I might just follow the youtube since it beats paying someone else to do it.

Special tools....lol

A lot of them are snap on's, adhesive/glued on, etc.

Just depends upon the vehicle. Yes it can be done diy. But, just beware, if there's any holes that the badge went into, on the back, you may have to fill them.

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.

Heat gun to loosen the glue just enough to peel the molding/badge off. Then hit it with the 3m stipulated of eraser wheel. Not to fast or to much pressure. Watch videos on YouTube

I used fishing line and goo gone on my Infiniti and Nissan, as they use adhesives without holes. A Toyota I did had holes underneath.
