Unhappy I need help with my daily driver ASAP i dont wanna be stranded in winter

Guy i need help im now lost on this one. Ok i have a 1993 ford explorer 4wd with a 4.0l v6 motor. Now if i go to start it on a hot/warm day no problems at all runs great. But like today if i go to start it sometimes in idle the rpm's will go crazy for sec now usually thats a vacuum leak but then will drop right back to where needs to be at so not like stays like that. If you go to try and put it in drive and press the gas sometimes it will feel like its wanting to choke itself from going anywhere again this is when its cold guys. Sometimes when your in drive and at idle its will make like a exhaust leak type sound and act like it doesn't want to go anywhere take forever to get up to speed. I've replaced couple things already but nothing yet and i don't want to keep dropping money into this truck if idk what 100% what is or could be. then when just 5mins ago here went to go start my truck up started fine except for like the pu pu pu sound then when i went to go reverse(this first time its done this) its died on me so i was like wtf. so put it in park and went to go turn the key started right back up no hard start no nothing. I can't figure this out guys and i really need to find out what it is before winter hits here. Here's parts i've replaced and what ive repaired.

IACV(Idle air control valve)
TPS(Throttle Postion sensor)
Fixed exhaust leak had at driver side manifold at flange to pipe
found vacumm leak underneath throttle body port to purge valve solenoid ran vacumm line to that and fixed that.
replaced the intake tube cause had slight rip in it mechanic told me has to be completeley sealed so i went and did that.
My electrical is fine im charging fine 14.6+while driving

Only other things i can think is plugs/wires
Maybe an ignition coil
EGR valve(exhaust gas recirculation valve).

Idk guys i need help someone please help me.

It almost sounds like the EGR valve has some carbon in it. Doesnt take much to screw with it. Chevy 4.3's were notorious for it, to the point they started making a gasket with a screen in it.

Tune up couldn't hurt. Could be ignition module, ECM, EGR valve sticking, etc... random problems are hard to track down. Is it throwing any SES codes?

good luck on that, srsly,... they are a real bish,..

my mother has a '94 exploder, it started with the exact symptom you've described,... needless to say, ive since changed the whole egr sytem, fuel pump/filter, iac valve, map sensor, maf sensor, bi-metal sensor, throttle position sensor, o2 sensor, coil pack, vaccuum system, fuel injectors,... gave it a tune up, and even borrowed a working ecu from a friend to test out,.....

it now sits in my mothers driveway with 1200 in new parts and a bullet hole in the door,... im still scratchin my head over it and dont have the diagnostic equipment,.... most parts stores that do free code retrieval cant test the '94 and older explorers, either... so its gettin scrapped soon

that's hilarious. I actually laughed a bit out loud.

I was thinking possibly EGR, but as someone suggested already, see if it's a computer problem because you never know.

edit: also, take the whole intake system apart and clean it - a good cleaning can sometimes help clear up some unexplainable problems

"Brush it's teeth"

lol That is what my last boss called a TB clean.

You can also run some seafoam in it. 1/3 can in the oil, 1/3 in the fuel tank and 1/3 in a vacuum line.
