close to the exhaust? i hate to break it to you all turbos are close to the exhaust as turbochargers run off excavanged exhaust fumes and most are bolted directly to the exhaust manifold of the motor. putting it back at the end of the exhaust system will reduce exhaust gas pressues on the turbo. this is why manifold mounted turbos amke more power then rear mounts.
