Default Car Alarm Help

ok so I am getting a new car soon, and recently there have been alot of break-ins around my town, I want to get a car alarm for my next car but I am a total noob at them as I have never had to use/install one before.

where is a good well known site that I can get one on the internet, I know ebay has some buy I dont know how well they can be trusted

also I would like to install it myself because I don't wanna get raped by a local shop.

are they that hard to install that you can not do it yourself?

They are a b!tch to install correctly. [I would tell you to have a reputable shop do it.]

Sonicelectronix is ok

I'd get the viper 5901 with a bigger horn siren. It has a 2 way alarm and rechargable battery for the transmitter.

and like sonic said before he stole my site, I'd leave it in the hands of a pro. But that's just me.

I'd pay no more than 200 and that's for a damn good install. Soldered connections and all that.

I'd suggest something with 2 way paging. Unless you park your car by your bed.

For my old school Monte, I have a clifford 1x. Has 2 way paging and no remote start. Comes with 2 transmitters too.
