Default Anyone familiar with tire sizes?

What is a good tire size for my 1994 ford explorer xlt 2wd. The wheels are 22"x9.5" with a +10 offset. I don't want to lift it but I want a decent ride with no rubbing.

A 275/45/22 tire would work great.

295 30 22 for Falken Ziex S/TZ-01 tires

Explanation;235 75 15 is the largest tire which came stock on an explorer.

235/75/15 OD is about 28.87". a 295/30/22 has an OD of 28.96"

275/45/22 OD is 31.74" {that would be bad}

For 22's? You don't think that'd be a bit wide? 245 tread width would prolly be better. Prolly more like a 245/45/22.

What were the stock wheel size on your car?

I was going to run 255/30/22s on them. The 255 is the width of the tire in MM. A few extra MMs wouldn't hurt. Like the 275 mentioned. IMO 45+ on the height of the tire is a must. If you want to go over bumps, or take it "off road" at all you don't want the rim getting bent etc. 30s like I was going to get were rubber bands so I wouldn't have to lift my car. A truck can use a little extra rubber imo.
