Bumping a thread 8 minutes after you make it doesn't help any.

Does it never go out? Do you have a hi/lo kit? Did you get the error eliminator (I believe fords are notorious for problems with HID's.)

I have a 97 limited with 55w 6000k H.I.Ds and my "brights" indicator isn't lit up when they are on.... Although my message center says "check lights" when they turn on, you just hit reset and it's good to go...

That might be your problem. I always install H.I.Ds with the relay harness and never have any problems like this...
HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

If thats not the issue I dunno what to tell you lol my DRL works fine and everything like I said, just the message center says check lights, you just hit reset and its good to go... Maybe mine's different cus it's a year older?
Maybe check out Ford Explorer and Ranger Enthusiast Forums - Serious Explorations and see if anyone has had your same problem before

It plugs in line(between stock headlight harness and the H.I.D ballast) and uses that as a trigger to turn the relay on, and the H.I.Ds will then get it's power directly from the battery instead of through the stock wiring.
