rebuilding an engine is a very tedious process if you haven't done it before,... Not to discourage you from going that route, but a simple miscalculation can ruin the whole project.
seeing that you would need to pull the block from the engine bay either way, it would be better to just get the running, used engine ans save yourself the hassle of all the work you would
need to put into replacing pistons, rods, crank, bearings, oil sending unit and gaskets (head, intake, water pump, oil pan)
at least with a used running engine, there is less of a chance with things going awry.
