Default All those with 5% tint

So I am thinking of getting my car tinted. Its a black BMW 735IL. I will eventually murder it out.

I know 5% is dark, and thats what I like. I'm not to worried about being pulled over or the illegality of it, just night driving is my concern. I ride my bike through a 35% tint all the time at night and it doesn't effect me at all.

I'm thinking 5% all around 50% on the windshield (should be plenty dark with no light coming in).

What are your experiences with 5%

I had an Avenger with 2% Mirror tint all the way around except for the windshield, and It was great during the day, but at night, It was hard, especially with glares from the interior. I could still see though, but its deff. harder to look through than stock. Sometimes I even had to roll down the windows at night to see if anything was coming on either side of me. It will deff. be a big change from stock. Just my

It's hard to see at night when making turns. And if the weather is bad like a hard rain then I had to sometimes roll down my windows down to see.
I knew a guy that had his windshield tinted @ 50% but kept the front side windows at 20% and went dark on the back 3 @5%, that gave the same effect of not being able to see in through the windshield or the sides even in the day time. But it was still manageable at night. By doing that windshield you should be able to go a little lighter on the sides and still look blacked out. Since you live in WI I am guessing you will do some driving in the suburbs that may not be well lit and turning into someones drive way that has no street lights can be a problem with 5% AND the windshield at 50. Just my experience though.

But of course it will look COOL!

Its horrible. On sunny days its hard for your eyes to adjust from clear to dark as hell when you turn your head to look. Id stay away from 5% and its hard to see out of. At night, its to the point of a safety concern.
