hey guys so i need to up my idle rpms just a bit for my alternator to turn on.. my car idles while in drive and the a/c on around 550 rpms and my alty doesnt turn on till 600 rpms. its a 2000 blazer so basically do i just go to a shop and tell them that i need my rpms bumped up and how much would they charge me for that you think?
lol im a noob! idk it says alt turn on speed 600rpms, and if i put my car in park the idle goes up slightly you know, so my voltage therefore goes up as well once it hits that 600 mark, so im trying to bump it up just a little bit for while im on drive. and i was looking for a smaller pulley and i already have about the smallest one i can find on it.. so thats why i just wanted to get the idle bumped up a tiny bit.
its a crappy db electrical alt, but yeah im just saying it works fine at my real idle which is 600 haha but once i put it in drive it drops a little to 550 so thats why it doesnt work very well :/ thats why i just wanna bump my idle haha.. so a shop can't just do me a favor? lol
