Default How To Increase Idle RPM?

I was curious how do you increase the idle of a vehicle to raise the idle rpm?

I have 2000 pontiac firebird, and would like to raise my RPM. Is the only way with a power programmer or are there other ways?

Get in the car, look down by your feet. You should see 3 (maybe only 2) pedals. 2 will look the same (or one will be a big square/rectangle) and one will be a tall skinny rectangle. The tall skinny one will be on the right. Push it.
