Default Can you mix brands of HID parts?

After seeing a lot of other peoples HID's, i was just wondering if it would be okay for you to buy a different companies bulbs, and use them on another companies ballast, as long as the wattage is the same? ive seen some nice rides with some really blue HID's, that are supposively 10000K like mine, and i wanted to buy their bulbs and just use the same ballast that im using right now.

As long as they are the same size you should be able to as long as the plug and play is setup the same. Some have external ignitors and some are built in.

noooo, you dont just swap the bulb, you need a kit for them just like the headlight kits, they need a ballast (power supply) which ignites them
