Default Turbo question

Ok, me and snprslick are getting into an argument so I thought I would see what y'all have to say. About how much boost does an all stock turbo'd car run from the factory? And not high end $60K+ cars. I mean the normal everyday cars.

I think the new Porsche Turbo is 22psi with a 25psi boost. Something like that.

Ok, thats what I thought. I know my buddies f250 is running about 30psi.

I was saying most run 4 - 7ish psi, but he was saying they roll from the showroom 22+ psi.

Thanks man. I thought 15 was a little high for a factory build, but I don't know a whole lot about the FI world.

My buddy claims 12-15 from his 04 jetta GLI...

most factory cars that use the turbo for efficiency (i guess ford is going to come out with a turbo 4 in place of a V6 or V8 in some cars) run low boost (4-7 psi). the factory cars that are geared for performance (evo, sti, etc.) will run more boost (up to ~17psi)
