Just my humble opinion but you get what you pay for and cheap spacers are just a ring of unidentifiable cast metal with holes and lugs on them. Personally they scare the crap out of me and I'd never use them. Some made out 1/2 thick cold rolled steel or cold rolled stainless with a 1.5" wide face and the lugs welded in place would be acceptable but still not optimal. Optimal is not using spacers at all.

Arg, I was thinking adapters... Using spacers still isn't good, it puts more stress on ball joints and steering arms.

Where are they rubbing? Can you massage the area with a 6lb sledge and gain some clearance? Been there and while it sounds brutal it can work in wheel wells. If it's the frame... you're hosed.

you can use the cheap ones we run them on my friends drag car and there are no shakes we just put the heavy side of the spacer opposite the heavy side of the tire we have run them up to 145mph no problem and he was running 4:11's
I also used some on my pick-up no problem and I have had it bouncing all four tires off the ground going up hill
your best bet is a machine shop and have them made but I don't see how they are safer the bolt on ones if they fail you lose a wheel the other ones I really don't see how they could fail

Your BEST option is not getting rims that require them
