in some states they are illegal in but if u have a high and low beam head light then just buy the high beams and use them when ur out on the road turn them to low beams when u pass a car

In a lot of states, aftermarket HIDs are illegal, I say go ahead and put them in. You won't get pulled over unless you're running pink, purple, or stupid blue. Also, depending on your stock housings, you may just want to invest in a package deal with the lights and housings so that you don't have stupid glare.

Its just like tint.

My car is a 1997 dodge neon.I was told you couldnt just throw hids in a stock housing without causing glare i guess. Were would be a good place to buy the housings and bulbs and ballast for that car?

Youll be fine in the neon stock headlights with 6000k's !!!!!!! but don't go any higher in kalvin value causenthen you'll be getting into the blue lights and you'll get peeled over

Dont do this! The cheap ebay Xentecs only last 6 months if your lucky, the color dont match what you order and they are not bright at all.
Get real quality HIDs and a projector lens housing. Do it right
