Default Foam vs. Rubber surround?

Please state advantages of them and which one is better/preffered?

i prefer rubber. more durrable against abuse....

I've read that with a foam surround no matter what it will degrade over time. I don't think that's too big of a deal if a recone isn't too expensive because it I can get a year or two before I have to recone I'll be happy.

price, lol...not suprised a manufacture(s) will make a composite or titanium cone but still do foam surround.

Keep it from getting extremely wet or chemicals off of it it will last 15+ years. I doubt anyone would keep that in their car for that long realistically

I have some foam surround speakers at home that my dad owned and they're in perfect condition.

I live in the cold and i got my 1st set of rubber surrounnd and i don't like them when its cold they make the woofer very stiff to the point i see a difference in my voltage from when there cold to after they warm up.....

Doesn't sound right to me honestly, I live in MO we regularly get days with the wind chill it's under 0 degrees and I've never experienced anything like that. Granted the surrounds were stiff-er they didn't affect anything for me.

My voltage sets higher after car warms up and subs do......all my systems before were opposite...when i start I'm @ 13.5 or so then after a few songs it will be round 14.2+ .....I've even made sure i played samebsong and at same volume. Cuz it didn't make sence either to me
