Question Could this bee too much power for a HDC418 daily?

So i'm going to be getting a Sundown SAZ-4500 off a buddy here in the next month or so, and I plan on using it with my single HDC4.

Gonna be building a new box for it and what not, but do you think this is too much power for a lone HDC4? I know it can take a 3500 no problem. But I'm thinking that a 4500 may be a little much. And of course the gains and stuff wont be set at full or probably anywhere near a half even.

Input greatly appreciated!

If its not clipped, and in the right enclosure, it will take it no problem...

D1 right? I would'nt run a single D1 off that amp unless you were gonna run it @2.I've run them on big power w/no problem but not daily.

Also depends upon your idea of daily as playing full tilt at 30hz for a long time would push any sub very hard with that much power. Dial it back a little for long playing sessions and crank it up for short demo's and to meter and you should be fine...

Let it bang man. An AQ 3500 is 4300 rms, and I used one on a 15 for months daily at .5. If you have common sense you will be just fine.

it will handle it,plus you will be lucky if you see 3/4 of the power from the amp with box rise and voltage loss.AND THE GAIN IS NOT A VOLUME KNOB.no worries

Sweet. We have also ran that sub on a DC 7.5k at .5 ohm.

The way you mention the gain settings make me think otherwise. No offense.
