Default Optima battery reviving questions

Ok so this guy on Craigslist has 3 optima batterys a red, yellow, blue top for $40 he says they won't hold a charge and they currently sit around 10 volts and that he's tried charging them on a 6 amp charger not sure the brand or type my question is would they be worth buying and trying to charge with my Walmart marine 10/6/2 amp charger has a agm setting or I was also thinking about getting a ctek 3300 if I get these batteries. Has any one else had experiences with this procedure?

I suggest working out a deal with him.

you revive his batteries and he gives you the second best one.

$40 each? or $40 for all three?

Best way to bring them back is to hook jumper cables from the optima to a good battery, then hook the good battery to a 2 amp trickle charger and let it sit for a day or two. That's how optima recommends to do it, and that's how I broght mine back from the dead. Been using it for 2 1/2 years now. Also did it with a dead kinetik I bought. But I personally wouldn't mess with them, odds are you won't get any of them to come back now that he had them on a charger already.

Doesn't autozone give $20 for old batteries? I'm pretty sure...
Could call em and ask, and if you can't bring em back, take em to autozone and get your money back + $20...

Don't bother, I have a d31t I've been trying to bring back close to a month now desulfating and connecting parralel to a kinetik 1800 and it was completely dead, the highest it came up to was 8v and rests at 7.8. The smart charger says that insides are damaged. A month trying. I gave up just today.
