Default Brand New Kinetik Battery sitting low on voltage

Just got a new kinetik red series equivalent to the HC1800 from sonicelectronix today. Tested the voltage and its sitting at a measly 12.05v. Is that something to worry about or would a trickle charge bring it right back to its normal 12.9v resting voltage?

It shouldn't be too far off to top off with a trickle charger might have been on the shelf for a while It's always a good idea to charge any new battery before adding it to.your system if after you charge it still has low voltage then call them up I'm sure they will switch the battery out for you

This is what I got from customer service,

"We apologize but please understand that these batteries do sit for some
time at the manufacturers location then ours until sold. Although the
item is know where near its expire date it can lose some voltage from
sitting, you can put the unit on a charger for a couple of hours if you
want those extra points."

That sounds about right. Once manufactured and sold kinetik has no control on how they are handled.
That's why its always suggested to charge any new battery.

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..
