yes. I would keep the L7. you will regret either trade because they will not produce the same sound you are used to. Different subs and boxes have different peaks so the songs you know and enjoy will sound like ass if you make either of those trades.

The MTX9500 with less surface area and the same power will be less loud.

The CVRs as a pair will not be louder because their is no way to wire them so they will receive the full power of the amplifier.. any way you try, they will only get half power.

One CVR by itself in the right enclosure could be louder but again, you will still have different peaks and songs you love won't sound as good.

Id take that MTX, build a custom box for it, and then you'll be ready for more power down the road. 9500's have a 4" coil so itll take some more power when you are ready to upgrade amps.

well i HEARD 9500's weigh nearly 70 lbs?idk but my l7 weighs mid 20's

weight isnt an issue i'm just thinking better built and handle more power

but i hear what sonics saying, maybe improve my other problems before hocking the sub already

stock electric
4 awg instead of 0
terrible vibrations
junk sony H-U
NO deadning

i had 2 12 mtx 7500-ported box @ 4 ohms on that kicker amp and it sounded as if there is more bass

the L7 just sounds like the whole rear of the car is bout to come apart..oddly not as much bass(maybe i should have my hearing checked)

L7's are sloppy, since you have a good oportunity, you might as well make the upgrade while you can.
