Default is my alt bad or is it my battery?

when cold my stock battery sits at 12.02 volts. when cold it will charge up to 14.4 with my stock alt(i dont have my HO alt installed). once the car warms up the voltage at idle will drop to 13.8 and with lights on and radio low it will sit at 13.6. while driving the car the voltage will stay at 13.8.

is this a bad battery or alt? the battery sticker is dated 09/08.

battery just has a low resting voltage. try charging it with a trickle charger and see if it helps. as an idea, most good AGM batts rest in the high 12's

Is that 12.02 with the car off and no lights or anything like that on? I would think it is the battery.

You should see higher than that with no key in the ignition and nothing on, and I have a small drop when I go to turn on my headlights and things in the car. You should test and see if it drops significantly with the car off and accessories on.

Charge the battery overnight, with a charger, chances are you are using your system full tilt and your stock alt cannot support the load so it drains the battery. So your battery is prob sitting at 50% charged.
