I've had my Tahoe for a few months now and I'm planning my system but need some ideas. It is an 03 w/ the 3rd row seat and has bose and factory flip down. I essentially want this to be my loud daily driver with out taking out the third row seat.
I'm thinking about removing the factory head unit, bose amp and speakers and factory flip down and replacing everything.
Here's what I have to work with so far that I could either install or try selling/trading on here for something else:
Red top Optima under the hood
2 Kinetic HC 2400s
1 Kinetic HC800
1 Shuriken BT-20
Rockford Fosgate T2000BD (Mono)
Rockford Fosgate T8004 (1-ohm stable 4-channel)
2 12" Sundown Audio SA12s D4
1 12" SoundSplinter Rl-P D2
Rear-facing ported sub enclosure for 2 12s to fit behind 3rd row (around 1.5-1.75 cu ft, believed to have been ported around mid-30s, not sure of exact specs or how to measure them)
For the batteries, do I need to replace the red top with something else? Do I need to use both 2400s to power my amps or should i use the 2400 and the 800? Should I get a second alternator or just one H.O. alternator?
As far as subs go, should I use the Sundowns? Sell the Sundowns and buy another RL-P D2 and run it at half ohm? Sell all 3 and buy something else? I want really loud SQ, not just pure noise.
What do you recommend for speakers to get the most out of the 4-channel? Its only 50x4 RMS @ 4-ohms but 100x4 @ 2-ohms and 200x4 @ 1-ohm. Any good 2-ohm components that would run well at 100 RMS? Or anybody know of any 1-ohm components? Want something to match up with the 2000 RMS of low-end with out sounding to harsh.
