Default are extra batteries equivalent to a second alternator?

i just found out powermaster makes a dual alternator bracket for my car that will bolt right up with my old stock alt. i currently have a 240 amp irragi alt and my other stock one is 115 amps.

i want to run a total of 6400 rms. i plan on running two 3k monoblocks and a 400 watt 2 channel amp. if i buy the bracket i will have a total of 355 amps available with my irragi and stock one. i can also buy a stock 200 amp alt thats pretty cheap, its about $130 so that will give me 440 amps if i go that route.

would it be better to just use the irragi 240 and instead of spending money on the dual alt bracket get some batteries? will an extra 2 deka 9a31s be equivalent to a another 115 or 200 amp alternator?

if i buy the bracket could i get away with just another small battery in the trunk or upgrading my stock battery up front to a deka 9a31?

If u dont buy matching alts its pointless... If alts arnt identical and hooked up together they fight each other and the less powered one wins.... Its more in depth than how i explainned but thats the easy way of explaining it

Use the stock alt to power the vehicle and it's accessories and use the HO alt for the system

this. you may be able to run your stock alt on not only its accessories but also the 400 watt 2 channel and run the monos off the second alt but make sure to watch the voltage because obviously the lights wouldn't dim and any other obvious red flags could be overlooked when doing this.

im not really trying to have two different electrical systems, too much work. so there is no way what so ever to have the two alts work together? i thought you could just jump the wire on the pcm harness with the other one and they would work together?

Huh?

I would like some proof of this please.

There are TONS of people who run multiple alts of varying sizes.
