Default Has anyone used Stinger SXW10C flat power wire?

Like the title says I'm wondering if anyone has used this wire. Here's the link to it Stinger Electronics | Product Details

I'm asking because I'm thinking of using this instead of the regular round wire because it seems like it would be easier to fit under carpetting and such. I'm currently using KnuKonceptz 4 gauge wire and it just barely fits but I'm thinking of upgrading to 0 gauge. If I were to use the regular round wire in 0 gauge I know that I wont be able to fit the plastic trimming pieces back due to the thickness of the 0 gauge. I think this particular wire would suit my install fine though as it is flattened out and not round which reduces its height. Personally I've never seen anyone use this type of wire so that is why I'm asking for people's suggestions on this. Thanks in advance.

True, I was thinking that at the end of the cable run that you could somehow bunch it up to be more circular so that you could you use a normal end connection. Since I've never seen or know anyone that's used this particular wire I don't know if that is an option. I would think you could since its compromised of many smaller strands but I would like to get some clarification before making the jump. Thanks for the post.

they make connectors for that flat wire so it can go into the amp and a type of ring terminal . I have never used the flat wire but have looked into using it.

I figured that there might be someway to make the connection. I know its different than most wire but there should still be an adequate way to make them work. Honestly, the biggest problem I'm having now is trying to find a place to buy it. I know they use to sell it on ebay but I did a search and nothing came up. Guess I'll try Google next. In any case, from what I seen on the Stinger website its pretty expensive. I think they want $12/foot. Gonna try to see if I can find it a bit cheaper.

I saw it for $8/foot here WIREANDCABLE STINGER SXW10C 0 gauge Power Wire Matte Clear Oval Uber-Flex Priced Per Foot;

still its way too expensive. I guess that's why most people don't use it. Also its discontinued at SonixElectronix probably for the same reason.

I thought it was just tinned 100% OFC not CCA. In any case, I think that I'll stick to the normal 0 gauge wire. I'll just have to find a way to make it work.
