Default at what point do your subs start to overpower your front stage?

i have 400 rms on two sets of comps and i will soon have 3kw on an 18. i think i should be good for that setup but i eventually plan on ditching the 18 and getting two 15s and adding another 3kw monoblock. will i have any trouble hearing the vocals in music when i upgrade?

You should be fine. Are they 400 watts for a 4 seater car or 2 sets of comps in your front doors? Ive got 2 sets of comps on 600 watts and had absolutly no problems hearing music over a pair of 15's on 5k.

i had a pair of hybrid clarus c61-2 powered by a cactus sounds 500.2 which does around 180 per channel, a level 5 15in and an AQ 3500.1D and was ok. upgraded two 15in crossfire XSv2s and two crescendo bc3500s same speakers and same amp the hybrids got drowned at.
