Default Blown amp help

I have a soundstream DTR 1700 and i was running it at 2 ohm to an obsidian 15 . the gains were set very low to break in the sub, i had extra battery good voltage yadda yadda yadda. anyways i was taking out the sub and one of the speaker wires somehow came loose from the sub (while still attached to the amp) and touched the positive terminal of the battery. i didnt think anything of it until today, when the amp would go into protect (tested another amp and it worked fine) i open up the amp and there was this nasty smelling like liquid condensation on the board, and it looked like 2 of the 4 capacitors in the amp were semi open at the top. i dont know if that was the cause of the liquid or if it was just condensation that formed in the amp idk . it just seems pretty bizarre. i opened the amp and let it "dry" for a bit nothing looks burnt at all on the inside, yet it still goes straight into protect. if anyone has ever experienced this any feed back is much appreciated, if its even fixable, or if im just crazy. i can take pics tomorrow to show what the hell im even talking about too. (sorry for the wordyness)

That liquid is from the caps and needs to be clean off with isopropyl alcohol before it causes more damage to parts and the PC board.

I should note, removing the caps that are vented should be priority. Just wiggle side to side if not glued down while pulling up and they will come off the board. Cut the two leads left in the pc board so they dont short. That liquid is conductive and is an acid.

You may have other issues with it you can't see, but most amps are repairable.
