Exclamation Is this sub under warranty???

hello all i have a question but not sure what to do.. i will be going to where the sub was made tomorrow but don't want to look wrong in asking for something that wont be covered im not going to say the name of the company because i dont want to give them a bad rep.

so we picked up the sub and it still smelled a bit like super glue but the sub is a monster lol rated at 2500 rms all gains were set with a dd-1

the amp is a t2500bd

the sub coils are 1.7 ohms

well the question is we put the sub in the box and played it on low volume to make sure everything sounded fine for around 2 songs bass mechanic from itunes and it sounded good at low volume then we turned it up but it sounded like it was blown so we pulled it out and checked the coils one reads 1.7 but the other is open is this covered under warranty?? the sub never smoked popped or even smelled just like super glue lol checked the sub out for clipping after we pulled the sub and the signal was clean hes voltage is great a hc1400 and a hc800 and a 200 amp alternator .. ?

You're in nevada. It's Fi correct? I'm guessing it got clipped badly. Coils generally will not be warrantied, because abuse will cause an open coil. Fi may feel bad for you and hook you up though. Was it new when you hooked it up?

If it is Fi, just call Scott. Shit happens and I'm sure if it was user error he would help you out with getting you a recone or replace the sub. Nothing to get embarassed about, subs usually fail one or two ways, either clipped(user error), or improper build(MFG error)

for sure im going to take the whole car over to him tomarrow as soon as they open and see what he says, Ive installed a system or two and rechecked all the wiring and made sure all things were what they supposed to be, Even after it was acting weird and it all came clean except for the sub but if it was user error then id admit it just do not know where Ill post what happens tomorrow
