Default saz 4500 protect problems.... need help!

soo installed my 4500 this morning... turn the gain to a third just to see what it would do...

(subs are 4 sa 12's d2 in parallel for 1 ohm nominal)

slammed it for about 10 min. took it home made sure nothing was hot... and start to put things back together to cleanup....

went to go get some food and the first song boom protect!!!

my voltage is good it wasnt dropping below 13.5.... i started playing around with it more and it seems i have to roll into it... but still when i go full tilt it protects...

idk what it could be that would make it do this... i swapped out my 2500 to the 4500 and my 2500 ran like a champ??

please let the comments spill!

You got a warranty right? I would say if you're sure your wiring is good and voltage is holding, contact dbr. I would double check each sub individually just to be certain. Sucks because you waited so long for it and now have to wait again, but at least you will get it fixed properly under warranty.

i had a similar issue with a saz 2500 it was a factory defect from a bad batch as soon as i talked to chris at db-r he knew what the problem was. my saz was going into protection radomly even if i turned the car off with the radio on when i statred the car the amp would go into protect all i had to do was turn h.u. off and back on and it was fine . call chris at db-r he might know if your 4500 might have a factory glitch.
i ended up sending mine back to the seller and he sent it to sundown for a repair.
