Default learning how to repair amps?

I've always been interested in learning how to repair amps, is there any way to learn without paying a fortune?
Lmk what you guys have for suggestions because I want to begin doing it just for curiosity sake.

Just start dropping solder all over the board until it works again.

i just did my first one today!

timwebb helped alot

also brand.cm knows a thing or two

but get a solid 12v power supply, a battery on the supply for larger amps, soldering iron and a dmm, (o-scope could be required for some repairs)

then read up on amps
Basic Amplifier Repair
that one helped me alot

or just basic how amps work
then get some crapy blown amps and start learning first hand

6 years of electronics repair in the military: You can clean circuit cards with isopropyl alcohol. ALWAYS use solder flux to have good heat transfer and never leave on on the board due to it being corrosive.
As said above, use Basic Car Audio Electronics, it's one of the best references. It can be a headache sometimes to find your issue, but with persistence, you can be successful.

buy everything that the guys up mention and get some cheap amp to start hand on training.Older school amps are easier to work on due to simplicity of the design and i gonna have higher change of success .easiest to fix amps are shorted in the psu or output stage
